Free Cutting Service
Most of our listings are eligible for our free cutting service, subject to terms below. To use our cutting service, please carry out the following:
- To make things as cheap as possible for you, pick a length/dimension nearest to what you require.
- During the checkout phase, you will reach the 'review your purchase' stage. This is where you can add your cutting instruction by using the 'add message to seller' option.
- Continue checking out...and you're finished! We will receive your order along with the cutting requirements.

Free Cutting Service Terms - Please Read
As with most things free in life, we do have a couple of conditions!
- Our free cutting service is intended for a customer to get one of our standard sizes down to a length/dimension they require which can usually be attained in one or two cuts. However, if you require many cuts, we can often accommodate within reason but ask that you contact us firstly to discuss your requirements.
- As customers usually only require the cut pieces, we don't send offcuts by default. If you require any offcuts, please state this in your cutting requirements.
- When cutting metal bar, due to saw blade widths each cut causes a small loss of material from the length (about 4mm). Therefore if you're needing a length cut into many equal pieces, please take this into consideration for the final cut length. This does not apply to sheet or plate.
- When cutting sheet, please be aware that we use a guillotine and therefore all cuts are made straight across the width/length of the metal. Therefore, any 'fancy shapes' may not be possible. If you are unsure, you can email us with your requirements at info@forwardmetals.co.uk.
- We endeavour to cut accurately but please note that being a stockist, we offer a standard tolerance of +/-3mm. If you need greater accuracy, please let us know.
