2k Technologies Limited is a LARGE (3500sqft), NEW, FAMILY FRIENDLY, MODEL SHOP on 2 floors based in Hipperholme, West Yorkshire between Halifax & Bradford. 2KTL was established in 1999 as a Mail Order internet on Line Model shop selling quality models, directly from the manufacturer and has grown to be one of the largest in the UK sending out over 1000 orders per week world wide.
We have, set over 2 floors, a large 3500sqft walk around model shop which is open 6 days a week & provides free customer parking in our own yard. Upstairs we have established a new Plastic Kit, Model Railway Layouts and toy department, which caters for all ages, with Thomas The Tank Engine play tables for younger children to play with & for the older children, at the push of a button,a complete working Hornby layout. Downstairs, displays include a DIGITAL SOUND RAILMASTER COMPUTER CONTROLLED operating '00' Gauge model railway layout, Graham Farish N Gauge & Bachmann Thomas 'G' working layouts and now the new 'Scenics' Room so please come and have a look round. - post code for your sat nav is HX3 8JQ and we are in the same yard as Carpet Direct.

There is lots of free customer parking in our yard & outside the front of the shop.
We carry about 80000 items in around 6000 different stock lines at any one time one time so its not a 5 minute job to look round, and dont forget to bring your glasses!.
We are an EEC VAT registered Company (reg no 877849641) so all our prices are inclusive of VAT. If you are outside the EEC you can purchase your items VAT free, but to qualify you must contact us before purchase to get VAT free instructions.
Worldwide mail order Shipping is in purpose made packaging either by Royal Mail, UK Mail or Parcelforce, most orders are packed same or next working day and shipped within 2 working days.
The 2K Team is: Peter Davies IT Director he has a proper executive job down south somewhere as well as working with us, Ian Voce who now heads up our on site IT (he has just developed a hand held 'beepy thing' system for our stock control - way over our heads as were just simple modellers) and royal mail on line postage systems having retired from a very important job in Leeds! Miss Craigie McMillan - evening post labeling division & is my long suffering partner - (how lucky she is!) Jane Marsh packing division (who talks us to death) - she is our longest serving employee (not sure how though), Perfect Pauline who sits in her 'harry potter' office under the stairs sorts administration, Customer services, sales and purchases and is very important (and has just sold her house so she is very happy), Justin who helps with bright ideas, shop re fitting, purchasing, order picking, stock control & base board manufacture and does model shows and window fitting in his spare time, Father chief book keeper - well he likes talking to Debbie our Accountant - (well we all do) Then there's Mother who sorts out all the sales invoices for father to upload - just to make sure he has got them right! On Saturdays we have Ben and Jessica (who is often in a bad mood as she is 17 - if any one has a spare brave boyfriend for her please let us know) who help Serve Customers, price up all the weeks new stock and load it onto the EPOS and ebay systems. Imogen (dont mention churches to her) who shoots her arrows at things on Saturday mornings, makes metcalfe kits for us, picks orders and helps Jane and Craigie with order packing and now Tasha who is Paulines Daughter who is being 'fastracked' to take over from Jessica when she goes to Uni (thats if she passes any exams and its a bit doubtful at the moment). Then theres Lottie - well she does not work for us as such but she turns up everyday with her parcels for us to post - she makes the 'Lottie Shaw' brand of Yorkshire Cakes we keep in stock and her Dad has a traction engine and drives steam engines so he must be ok! and she is going to send us his DVD (we have now seen the DVD and its very good so we will be selling them soon in our ebay shop). To keep things international and ensure a good supply of Vodka, we have appointed Sergey in Moscow as director of our Russian division we have adopted his new dog as our mascot! (if you want to buy any land in Moscow he's the man to see). Still on the international theme we now have Steve from New Zealand who helps out with urgent orders, incoming stock and anything big and heavy that needs moving - I understand he is good at rugby and has a number of equaly large 'mates' but its ok as Pauline has him under control (well she thinks that). We also have Martin who works for Royal Mail and comes to see us everyday at 11am to collect a van load of parcels, so if you have ordered it in time it will be on his van! However no one seems to know what happens to the parcels after he has collected them some seem to dissapear into the Royal Mail black hole for up to 10 days! Then theres me the grumpy old man (Yes our 5 year old Grandaughter says I look older than my Father) David Watson and I do everything else.....which seems to annoy everyone (thinking of ordering a brown coat like open all hours) and then theres the 7 cats and the dog named Peppa Pig...

Customers may collect orders from our high street shop (see above), almost all items are on display, however in line with our policy we will not "open" items for you to "have a look at".
